I remember a specific time in the 80s when I had failed the Lord and was paralyzed by guilt. For weeks no amount of prayer, confession, repentance would lift the load. The accuser of the brethren (satan) was working overtime on my mind.
And then I heard Rusty Goodman’s song recorded in 1965, “Because of Calvary” and everything broke off me!
I was never again bothered over that failure. Something broke deep inside as I meditated on “the Cross where Jesus died” in Rusty’s deep baritone voice.
