God really does work and speak through His powerful Word! Recently I felt depressed for two days. The first day, I read my Bible and felt better.  The second day I did the same and felt much better. During my Bible reading, God proved to me He knows my secret thoughts. I flipped open my Bible and immediately saw “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). This was so amazing to me because I had previously read this verse from a list of Good Confessions, but thought it was a misprint. Only Jesus could be the light. But as I read the next few verses, God showed me the truth: Jesus’ light is in me. “…If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:32).
